Наша редакція засуджує чергове порушення Російською Федерацією територіальної цілісності Грузії, що є ігноруванням міжнародного законодавства.
10 липня 2015 р. російські сили в односторонньому порядку пересунули знаки, що позначають кордон, на 450 метрів вглиб Грузії від демаркаційної лінії Південної Осетії. Внаслідок цього ділянка трубопроводу Баку-Супса довжиною 1,6 км тепер знаходиться на нелегально окупованій Російською Федерацією території.
Світовий Конґрес Українців засудив чергове порушення Російською Федерацією територіальної цілісності Грузії, що є ігноруванням міжнародного законодавства і агресивною провокацією щодо світового співтовариства.
“Президент Росії Владімір Путін у черговий раз перевіряє рішучість міжнародного співтовариства, – заявив Президент СКУ Евген Чолій. – Загроза глобальному миру і безпеці з боку Російської Федерації зростає з нерішучістю західного світу, включаючи й те, чи надати Україні необхідну летальну зброю, щоб вона могла зупинити на своєму кордоні імперіалістичні амбіції російського Президента”.

Ukrainian World Congress calls on the international community to take notice of new violation of territorial integrity of Georgia
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) condemns another violation of the territorial integrity of Georgia by the Russian Federation as a breach of international law and an aggressive provocation of the international community.
On 10 July 2015 Russian troops unilaterally moved border markers 450 meters deeper into Georgia from the South Ossetia demarcation line. As a result, a 1.6 km.-long segment of the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline is now on territory illegally occupied by the Russian Federation.
“President Vladimir Putin is, once again, testing the resolve of the international community,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij. “The threat posed by the Russian Federation to global peace and security increases with indecision by the Western world, including whether to supply Ukraine the necessary defensive lethal weapons to enable it to stop, at its border, the imperialist ambitions of the Russian President.”
The UWC is the international coordinating body for Ukrainian communities in the diaspora representing the interests of over 20 million Ukrainians. The UWC has member organizations in 34 countries and ties with Ukrainians in 14 additional countries. Founded in 1967, the UWC was recognized in 2003 by the United Nations Economic and Social Council as a non-governmental organization (NGO) with special consultative status.
